The Nation's international deficit in goods and services decreased
to $59.1 billion in August from $61.3 billion (revised) in July, as
imports decreased more than exports. (10 October 2008)
Beginning with the January 2009 statistics scheduled for release in March 2009, the U.S. Census Bureau will modify the structure of several data products to accommodate changing technology and user demand. (18 September 2008)
In this release and the accompanying "U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services: April 2008," the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) are jointly publishing revised data on U.S. trade in goods for 2005-2007 and the first three months of 2008 and revised data on services for 2004-2007 and the first three months of 2008.
