Cold Facts on Household Appliances and Other Manufactured Goods

Shipments of household refrigerators and freezers increased 8 percent from $5.5 billion in 2004 to $6.0 billion in 2005, according to the Census Bureau's latest Current Industrial Report on Major Household Appliances. These figures include shipments of parts and attachments. This report has statistics on the number of manufacturers and the quantity and value of shipments for a vast array of appliances identified by name and product code: ranges, microwaves, surface cooking tops, washers, dryers, water heaters, dishwashers, etc.

The report is one of a series on groups of manufacturing industries; reports are released on quarterly or annual basis in both Excel and PDF formats. More on the Current Industrial Reports.
