Capital Expenditures

The Census Bureau's Annual Capital Expenditures: 2005 report provides timely information on capital investment in structures and equipment by nonfarm business. Among business sectors for companies with employees, during calendar year 2005 the manufacturing sector led the way in capital expenditures with 165.2 billion in spending. Following closely was Finance and insurance with 161.6 billion. Next was the Real estate and rental and leasing area with 103.2 billion in capital expenditures.
