Census 2000

New Atlas Profiles Congressional Districts. Look for the Congressional District Atlas, 109th Congress of the United States: 2000. DVD (Product ID V1-T00-C109-14-US1, $70) containing PDF map files and relationship tables. The congressional district boundaries are the result of the Census 2000 redistricting process. The relational tables contained on this DVD associate the 109th Congressional Districts with Census 2000 geographic entities such as county or place.

Census History Shown in Maps in Upcoming Atlas. The Census Bureau is publishing the Census Atlas of the United States, a thematic map book available for purchase ($95) this fall from the U.S. Government Printing Office, the Customer Services Center, and major commercial bookstores.

2004 State and County Housing Unit Estimates. Internet files providing estimates of housing and households at the national, state, and county levels for 2004.

Economic Census and Surveys

2003 County Business Patterns. Internet files and PDF reports containing a variety of information on business in more than 1,100 industries for the nation, states and 3,271 counties. Includes data on the number of establishments and employees and quarterly and annual payroll. Eventually available for purchase on CD-ROM.

Manufacturing and Trade: Inventories and Sales: May 2005. Press release showing sales, inventories, and inventories-to-sales ratios for the combined domestic activities of retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers is scheduled for release July 15, 2005.

New Residential Construction: May 2005. Press release showing data for housing starts and completions and building permits is scheduled for release July 19, 2005.

Advance Report on Durable Goods Manufacturers' Shipments, Inventories and Orders: June 2005. Press release showing advance information on key business indicators is scheduled for release July 27, 2005.

New Residential Sales: June 2005. Press release reporting new one-family houses sold and for sale is scheduled for release July 27, 2005.

Housing Vacancies and Homeownership: Second Quarter 2005. Press release showing rental and homeowner vacancy rates and characteristics of units available for occupancy is scheduled for release July 28, 2005.
