Census Bureau Announces Start of 2006 Test Censuses. Formal kick-off for test censuses in Travis County, Texas, and Cheyenne River Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
Population
County Population Estimates and Rankings: 2005. What was the nation's fastest-growing county in 2005? Find the answer via Internet tables showing population estimates, rankings and components of change for the nation's 3,141 counties and county equivalents since Census 2000 and up to July 1, 2005.
Domestic Migration in the United States: 2000 to 2004. Report describing recent patterns of population redistribution as reflected by the domestic net migration component of population estimates data. Analysis focuses on net migration for a number of different kinds of geographic areas, including regions, divisions, states, metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas, and counties. The primary focus of this report is the post-Census 2000 period.
Poverty Status of Families by Type and by U.S. Citizenship Status of the Householder: 2003. Four national-level tables from the American Community Survey present poverty data on the foreign-born by the following characteristics: citizenship status, year of entry, region of birth, and family type.
Voting and Registration in the Election of November 2004. Report examining the levels of voting and registration in the November 2004 presidential election, the characteristics of citizens reporting they were registered to vote and actually did vote, and the reasons why others registered did not vote. The report, from the Current Population Survey, provides the first-ever analysis of national- and state-level data that was released last May.
Economic Census and Surveys
2002 Survey of Business Owners: Hispanic-Owned Businesses. Report available online in PDF and for sale in print from the U.S. Government Printing Office and Internet files on the state of Hispanic-owned businesses from a survey conducted every five years, with data on the numbers of such businesses; statistics shown separately for those with and without paid employees. Also, includes data on sales and receipts for the nation, states, and local areas levels where Hispanic-owned businesses are concentrated.
2002 Economic Census: Subject Series. Series of 57 reports for several industry sectors, all at the national level, showing product shipments by contributing industries and other information, product lines, establishment size, and legal form of organization. Reports issued on a flow basis; most available now.

Monthly Wholesale Trade: January 2006. Press release showing estimates for sales, inventories on a non-LIFO ("last in-first out") basis, and stock-sales ratios for merchant wholesalers by three-digit major kind-of-business groups. Scheduled for release March 10, 2006.
Advance Monthly Sales for Retail and Food Services: February 2006. Press release presenting advance monthly estimates of retail store sales by kind-of-business groups. Report includes seasonally adjusted estimates and percentage changes for major kind-of-business groups. Scheduled for release March 14, 2006.
Manufacturing and Trade: Inventories and Sales: January 2006. Press release showing sales, inventories, and inventories-to-sales ratios for the combined domestic activities of retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers. Scheduled for release March 14, 2006.
Quarterly Services Survey: 4th Quarter. Press release showing quarterly estimates of total operating revenue and the percentage of revenue by class of customer for the services industries. Scheduled for release March 15, 2006.
New Residential Construction: February 2006. Press release showing data for housing starts, completions, and building permits. Scheduled for release March 16, 2006.

2004 Annual Survey of Local Government Finances – School Systems. Report on local government finances containing data on revenues, expenditures, debt and financial assets for public elementary and secondary school systems. The report includes state rankings of revenues and expenditures per pupil.
