Americans with Disabilities: 2002. National-level data on people who face challenges such as difficulty seeing, hearing or preparing meals or have certain medical conditions like Alzheimer's disease or mental retardation. Includes statistics on various characteristics (e.g., age, perceived health status, health insurance coverage, and computer usage).

Estimates of U.S. Population by Age, Sex, Race and Hispanic Origin: July 1, 2005. Internet files showing national-level population estimates cross-tabulated by demographic characteristics.

Poverty Status of Families by Type and by U.S. Citizenship Status of the Householder: 2003. Four national-level tables from the American Community Survey present poverty data on the foreign-born by the following characteristics: citizenship status, year of entry, region of birth, and family type.

Monthly Wholesale Trade: March 2006. Press release showing estimates for sales, inventories on a non-LIFO ("last in-first out") basis, and stock-sales ratios for merchant wholesalers by three-digit major kind-of-business groups. Scheduled for release May 9, 2006.

Advance Monthly Sales for Retail and Food Services: April 2006. Press release presenting advance monthly estimates of retail store sales by kind-of-business groups. Report includes seasonally adjusted estimates and percentage changes for major kind-of-business groups. Scheduled for release May 11, 2006.

Manufacturing and Trade: Inventories and Sales: March 2006. Press release showing sales, inventories, and inventories-to-sales ratios for the combined domestic activities of retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers. Scheduled for release May 11, 2006.

U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services: March 2006. Press release showing monthly exports, general imports (including data by country), and limited data on imports for consumption. Scheduled for release May 12, 2006.

New Residential Construction: April 2006. Press release showing data for housing starts, completions, and building permits. Scheduled for release May 16, 2006.

Retail E-Commerce Sales: 1st Quarter 2006. Press release showing quarterly estimates for retail e-commerce sales. Scheduled for release May 18, 2006.

Economic Census and Surveys

2002 Economic Census: Subject Series. Series of 57 reports for several industry sectors, all at the national level, showing product shipments by contributing industries and other information, product lines, establishment size, and legal form of organization. Reports issued on a flow basis; most available now.

Survey of Business Owners: Asian-Owned Firms: 2002. Report available online in PDF and as a print-on-demand from the Customer Services Center, providing data on the state of Asian-owned businesses. Statistics are shown for businesses with and without paid employees. The report includes data on sales and receipts for the nation, states, and local areas with 100 or more Asian-owned businesses. Also, contains data on business ownership by Asian ancestry. Eventually available online in downloadable form; also on DVD.

Housing

2005 American Housing Survey National Public Use Microdata File. Microdata (i.e., household records with identifying information removed) from this survey enable users to generate their own tabulations on a wide range of housing topics; e.g., housing costs, satisfaction with neighborhood and the frequency of repairs made. The file consists of records of individual responses to the survey, with identifying information removed.
