Population
Families and Living Arrangements: 2005. Tabulations from the Current Population Survey with national data by race and Hispanic origin on marital status and household size and composition. The tables also include information on topics such as "stay-at-home" parents and health insurance coverage of children.
Poverty Status of Families by Type and by U.S. Citizenship Status of the Householder: 2003. Four national-level tables from the American Community Survey present poverty data on the foreign-born by the following characteristics: citizenship status, year of entry, region of birth, and family type.
USA Counties. The new web database of USA Counties will feature almost 6,000 data items for the United States, states, counties, and equivalent areas from a variety of sources. Files include data published for 2004 population and housing unit estimates and extensive data from 2000, 1990, and 1980 Census of Population and Housing and limited variables from previous decennial censuses back to 1930 and economic census data from 2002 and 1997. Other popular Census datasets such building permits, consolidated Federal funds, and small area income and poverty estimates will also be available. The USA Counties web database will be updated quarterly.
Economic Indicators
Advance Report on Durable Goods Manufacturers' Shipments, Inventories, and Orders: April 2006. Press release showing advance information on key business indicators. Scheduled for release May 24, 2006.
New Residential Sales: April 2006. Press release reporting new one-family houses sold and for sale. Shows sales prices, months on the market, and stage of construction. Scheduled for release May 24, 2006.
Construction Spending (Put-in-Place): April 2006. Press release showing estimates of the value of total new construction put in place by type of construction (residential and non-residential) annual value, and by type of owner (private and public). Scheduled for release June 1, 2006.
Economic Census and Surveys
2002 Economic Census: Subject Series. Series of 57 reports for several industry sectors, all at the national level, showing product shipments by contributing industries and other information, product lines, establishment size, and legal form of organization. Reports issued on a flow basis; most available now.
Housing
2005 American Housing Survey National Public Use Microdata File. Microdata (i.e., household records with identifying information removed) from this survey enable users to generate their own tabulations on a wide range of housing topics; e.g., housing costs, satisfaction with neighborhood and the frequency of repairs made. The file consists of records of individual responses to the survey, with identifying information removed.
