The Geography Division of the US Census Bureau has provided a suite of products that support the 1995 Census Test. The areas covered by this Census Test are Oakland, CA., Paterson, NJ., and six Parishes in Louisiana.

PRODUCTS:
++++++++++

* MAPS - Two map types have been provided.  These maps are stored
         in MIM(R) format, which is an ASCII description of the
         complete map graphic. (To learn more about the MIM please
         visit the Geography homepage on the Census Bureau's WEB
         site - http://www.census.gov)

      a. SITE LOCATOR MAP - A small scale map that provides the viewer
         with a quick overview of each test site and the surrounding
         geography.

      b. GOVERNMENTAL UNIT BLOCK MAP (Census Block Maps) - This
         multi-sheet large scale map series displays all the
         Census blocks within each of the test sites.  Index maps
         are provided to easily reference the parent and inset map
         sheets for the Parishes and Incorporated Places.

* MAP VIEWING SOFTWARE
      A single integrated Windows based PC application that allows
      the user to identify, display and print the various map products.
      A readme file located in the "mimview" directory directs the
      installation process.

* TIGER/Line(R) - TIGER/Line(R) files, a public release version of
      the Census Bureau's TIGER File, along with the complete
      documentation set (in ASCII format) are provided.
      Each set of TIGER/Line(R) files consist of 13 files,
      (tgrSSCCC.951 - tgrSSCCC.95Z) and a (countSS) file which
      contains counts by record type for each TIGER/Line file.
